Gene Hackman - Biography

Gene Hackman After graduating from military service, Hackman began studying acting at the School of Acting Arts in Pasadena, California. He was keen to develop his talent and try to have a career on screen.

Hackman made his big screen debut in Madame, I Am Adam (1962), followed by many outstanding roles in films such as The Brothers Karamazov (1958), Don't Call the Police (1967), French Liaison (1971) and Godfather II (1974).

One of the most striking and memorable characters played by Hackman was the role in the film Dirty Dancing (1987), where he played the role of a tough and conservative father who opposed his daughter's romantic relationship.
