After graduating from high school, Robert attended the Theater Institute in New York City, where he was educated in acting. His talent was immediately noticed, and he quickly began to attract the attention of both cinematic directors and theater producers.

His film career began with small roles, but his talent was so obvious that he soon got roles in films that became his career rise. One of Hoffman's most famous roles was his role in the film "Hood" (2005), where he played the psychopathic killer Trueman Capoti. His performance of this role earned him wide acclaim and critical acclaim.
