Andrew Jackson - Biography
Jackson (1767-1845) was the seventh President of the United States of America and one of the most prominent figures in that country's history. His biography is full of interesting events reflecting the spirit and era of 19th-century America.Andrew was born on March 15, 1767 in the Uxoni area, in what is now South Carolina. His parents, Elizabeth and Andrew Jackson Sr., were immigrants from Ireland, and life in colonial America was difficult and unpredictable for them.
