Tarkovsky is a name associated with outstanding films, deep philosophy and artistic skill. He is considered one of the greatest directors in the history of cinema and left an indelible mark on the art world. Andrei Arsenievich was born on April 4, 1932 in Zavrazhye, a village in Russia. His father, Arseniy Tarkovsky, was a famous poet, which certainly influenced the development of the creative abilities of the future director. Since childhood, Andrei was surrounded by literature and art.

After graduating from high school, he entered the Moscow State Institute of Cinema (VGIK), where he studied directing. Already during his studies, his talent and innovative ideas were obvious, and he quickly gained attention as a future filmmaker.

Andrei Tarkovsky's first film, "Ivanovo Childhood" (1962), was his literary debut. The film is about the childhood of an orphan boy who works at the front in World War II. "Ivanovo Childhood" received many awards and recognition and was recognized as one of the best debut films in the history of cinema.

Andrei's most famous work is the film Solaris (1972), an adaptation of the novel by Stanislav Lem. Mixing science fiction with philosophy and psychological depth, the film was internationally acclaimed and became a classic of the genre.
