Athanasius Afanasyev - Biography

Nikitich Afanasyev (1826-1871) is a name that stands on eternal guard of the wealth of the Russian folklore tradition. This prominent Russian folklorist and collector of folk tales and legends left an indelible mark on the history of Russian literature and culture.
