Brothers is a name associated with the endless world of magic and folklore. Jacob and Wilhelm were two prominent German literary scholars, linguists and storytellers whose contributions to world literature and culture remain incredibly significant. In this biography, we will immerse ourselves in their lives, study their education, scientific research and the creation of the famous "Brothers Grimm."

Jacob and Wilhelm were born on January 4, 1785 and February 24, 1786, respectively, in Ganau, a small town in Hesse, Germany. Their childhood was spent in an atmosphere of romanticism and interest in folk culture. The Grimm family was large and poor, and the brothers had to fight for their education and future.

Jacob and Wilhelm both showed outstanding abilities in linguistics and literature while still at school. Both brothers entered the University of Marburg, where they studied philology and folklore. Here they received a critical education, which became the basis for their future career.

An important stage in their career was their joint exploration of German folklore. They began collecting and recording German tales, legends and myths to preserve for future generations. Their work in collecting folklore attracted the attention of the scientific community and became the starting point for the creation of the Brothers Grimm.

Following his passion for preservation and the study of folklore, Jacob and Wilhelm published their first collection of fairy tales in 1812 under the title "Children's and Home Folklore." However, real fame came to them with the release of "Tales of the Brothers Grimm" in 1812 and 1815. This collection of more than 200 fairy tales and legends has become a classic of children's literature and part of the cultural heritage of many countries.
