Carola Bonnie - Biography

Bonnie, also known as Bonnie Parker, became a crime legend in the United States of America in the early 1930s. Her life path, filled with crime, romance and violence, made her one of the most famous and recognizable female gangsters in history.

Carola was born on October 1, 1910 in Rowland, Texas. Since childhood, her life was not without difficulties and poverty. Carola grew up in a small town and was an excellent student at school. She dreamed of a bright future and a more interesting life than the provincial city could offer her.

Carol's fortunes changed when she met Clyde Barrow, her future partner in crime and lover. The meeting took place in 1930, when Carola was only 19 years old. Clyde already had a reputation for dangerous crime and was on the run from the law. However, their meeting led to a quick attraction to each other, and they decided that together it would be easier for them to experience all the difficulties.

With Clyde Barrow, Carola began committing a series of robberies, bank raids and murders. Their criminal activities quickly attracted the attention of the press and the law. They became an object of adoration for many, since at that time their acts were considered an act of protest against the Great Depression and the banking system, which led to poverty and unemployment for many Americans.

Barrow and Bonnie became known as the "Gang Couple" and were on constant running away from the police. They stayed ahead of the law through their courage and audacity. They crossed several states, committing crimes and fleeing the chase. Their art of circumventing the law and running away from the police made them real heroes for some, though they remained criminals in the eyes of the authorities.

The tragic fate of Carol and Clyde Barrow overtook them on May 23, 1934, when they were shot dead by police officers in an ambush in Louisiana. Their deaths ended the legend of the gang couple, but their story still lives on.
