Albert Eibraham was born on December 19, 1852 in the city of Prague, which was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at that time. After the family moved to the United States of America, he entered Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Here he continued his scientific research and became interested in optics and physics.
