Flavius was born around AD 37 in the city of Jerusalem, then part of the Roman Empire. He came from a priestly family and was well educated. As a young man, he traveled and studied various fields of knowledge, including Jewish religion, history, and philosophy.

Flavius began his political career as an adviser to the governor of Galilee. During this time, he witnessed many important events, including Jewish uprisings and conflicts with Roman authority. He tried to mediate conflicts and defend the rights of his people before the Roman authorities.

However, in 66 CE, a large rebellion began in Judea, known as the Judean War. Flavius Josephus, although he was a supporter of peace and wished to avoid conflict, was invited to command Jewish troops in Galilee. He participated in hostilities and was later captured by the Roman army.

Flavius Josephus was taken prisoner by the Roman authorities and spent most of his time imprisoned. He met with emperors Vespasian and Titus, which allowed him to return to historical research and begin to write his great works.

One of the most famous works of Flavius Joseph is the "Jewish War" (or "Jewish Antiquity"), in which he describes in detail the course of the war, the destruction of Jerusalem and the spread of the Jewish people. This work remains an important source for studying Jewish history and Jewish uprisings.
