However, the real turning point in Engels's life was his meeting with Karl Marx in 1844 in Paris. In addition to his intellectual activity, he was also an active participant in revolutionary movements. He supported revolutions in Europe, especially in Germany and France, and financially assisted Marxist and revolutionary organizations. He also participated in the 1848 revolution in Germany.
