George Orwell - Biography

Orwell, real name Eric Arthur Blair, is a name that will forever remain in the history of literature and social thought. He was a prominent British writer, journalist and public figure whose works and ideas left a deep mark on world literature and political philosophy. In this biography, we look at the life path of a Orwell, his contribution to literature and society, and the influence of his works on the modern world.

George was born on 25 June 1903 in Bengal, India, the son of British citizens. His parents returned to England when George was still a baby. He spent his early years in England, where he began to take an interest in writing and social issues.

After leaving school, he entered Eton College, one of the most prestigious schools in England. He later attended Kings College, Cambridge, where he studied French literature and language. The education and experience gained at the university became the foundation for his future literary career.

After completing the university, he went to Burma (now Myanmar), where he served in the Indian imperial police. This experience became the basis for his first book, "Burma Days," in which he described life and intrigue in colonial Burma.

Orwell later returned to England and began working as a journalist and writer. He traveled to various countries and published his reports and stories in various publications. His clear writing style and insightful reviews made him a well-known journalist.

George Orwell's most famous and influential work is his novel 1984, written in 1949. This book has become a dystopian classic and describes a bleak future where the government has full control over the lives of citizens and uses mass propaganda to manipulate society. "1984" became an allegory for totalitarianism and the threat of individual freedom.
