Guy was born on October 24, 1749 in England, in the city of Winchester. His parents were middle-class and his father was a watchmaker. One of the most famous moments in Guy Fawkes' biography was his involvement in events known as The Gordon Riots in 1780. In 1783, Guy Fox became a member of Parliament and continued the struggle for anti-slavery reforms. He gave speeches raising the issue of the abolition of slavery and the rights of African slaves.
