Herbert George (Herbert George Wells) was born on September 21, 1866 in Bromley, Kent, England. His family was modest and not wealthy, and Herbert received a limited education. However, his curiosity and intelligence led him to self-education and later to a literary career.

From an early age, Herbert developed an interest in reading and scientific knowledge. His first works were non-fiction articles and book reviews. In 1895, he published his first novel, "The Time Machine," which immediately became a bestseller and established him as a writer.

Herbert was not only a science fiction writer but also a public critic. In many of his writings, he explored topical issues and evoked discussion of issues such as social injustice, imperialism, and the future of humanity. His novel The War of the Worlds became a science fiction classic and explored the theme of humanity's encounter with alien civilizations.

Among the most famous works of Herbert Wells are The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, The Invisible Man, The Island of Doctor Moreau, The War in the Air and many others. His books have been translated into many languages and influenced many writers and philosophers.
