Hideki Anno - Biography

Anno was born on May 22, 1960 in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. His interest in animation and art emerged from an early age. At a young age, he began creating his own animated shorts and drawing manga. As he grew older, his passion for animation only intensified.

After graduating from high school, he entered the Tokyo University of the Arts, where he studied animation and film. His education became the foundation for the development of his skills and style in animation.

Hideki achieved his greatest fame after the creation of the anime series "Evangelion" (Neon Genesis Evangelion), which was first released in 1995. This project was a real turning point in the anime industry. "Evangelion" tells a complex and emotionally profound story about young pilots of giant robots fighting against mysterious angels.

The series became iconic for its complex storyline, symbolic imagery and philosophical themes. It became an important work not only for anime, but also for world culture in general. "Evangelion" was also adapted into several films and left an indelible mark on the history of animation.

In addition to Evangelion, Hideki Anno has worked on various anime projects, including Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and Gunbuster. He also continues to work on new projects, expanding his artistic range.

Hideki's influence on the animation world is hard to overstate. His work has inspired many animators and directors, and he is considered one of the pioneers in the use of animation to express complex emotional and philosophical ideas.
