Jack Kirby, real name Jacob Kurtzberg, was born on August 28, 1917 in New York City, United States. His childhood was spent in Brooklyn, and he showed his talent for drawing from an early age. Jack began his career in the comic book industry, working on various genres including westerns, science fiction, and superheroes.
