John Updike - Biography
After graduating from high school, he entered Harvard University, where he studied English literature. His education at Harvard was the foundation for a future literary career. He also worked in the editorial office of a student newspaper, where he began publishing his first articles and short stories.In 1956, John released his first novel, "The Poorhouse Fair," which received positive reviews from critics. His next novel, "Rabbit, Run" (1960), became a true literary event and brought Updike worldwide recognition.
