John Updike - Biography

After graduating from high school, he entered Harvard University, where he studied English literature. His education at Harvard was the foundation for a future literary career. He also worked in the editorial office of a student newspaper, where he began publishing his first articles and short stories.

In 1956, John released his first novel, "The Poorhouse Fair," which received positive reviews from critics.
