Limen Frank Baum, better known as L. Frank Baum, is a name associated with endless adventure and magic. He became one of the most famous and influential American storytellers, the author of the famous book "The Wizard of Oz" and many other magical works. L. Frank was born on May 15, 1856, in Chittenango, New York, United States. He grew up in a large family and, as a child, showed a vivid imagination and a penchant for stories and fantasy. He was often referred to by adults and friends as "Frank Talking Tales."

From an early age, Frank was fond of literature and tales of adventure. His family supported his interests and encouraged reading and creativity. He graduated from high school and attended university in Wisconsin, however, his interest in literature led him to a journalism and writing career.

L. Frank Baum began his career as a journalist and editor, traveling and writing about various places and events. However, the real breakthrough for him was the book "The Wizard of Oz," published in 1900. This fabulous story about a girl named Dorothy, who fell into the magical Land of Oz, became an instant bestseller and won the hearts of readers of all ages.

The following books in the Oz series also became popular and continued to tell the adventures of Dorothy and her friends in an amazing world. In total, he wrote 14 books about Oz, and the series became one of the most famous and beloved children's literary franchises in history.
