Nikolaevich Tolstoy is one of the loudest and most respected names in world literature and philosophy. A Russian writer, thinker and philosopher, he left an indelible mark on cultural history and is considered one of the greatest writers of all time. Leo was born on September 9, 1828 in Yasnaya Polyana, near Tula, into a noble aristocratic family.
