The most famous and productive period of his career was his move to France. Here, together with Salvador Dali, he created one of the most famous and influential films in the history of cinema - Un Chien Andalou in 1929. The film was overflowing with surreal imagery and symbolism, and it became a manifesto of surrealism in cinema.
The collaboration with Dali continued with another cult film - "The Golden Priestess" (L'Âge d'or) in 1930. These films elevated the name to the highest heights and established it as a master of surrealism.
