Malcolm Timothy was born on September 3, 1963 in Fairnham, Canada. His family moved to Canada from England and he grew up in a multicultural environment. Already from childhood, Malcolm showed an interest in reading and research, which was the starting point for his future career.

After graduating from high school, Malcolm attended Trinity College in Toronto, where he studied history and economics. After completing his undergraduate degree, he enrolled at the Gladkston School of Journalism at the University of Pennsylvania, where he began to develop his skills as a journalist.

Malcolm Gladwell began his journalism career with "The Washington Post," where he worked as a reporter and then as an editor. In 1996, he moved to New York and began working for "The New Yorker" magazine. His articles and reporting drew attention to their depth and original approach to exploring various topics.

Malcolm became known for his books, in which he combines journalistic style and in-depth research.
