Martin Heidegger - Biography
Biography a Heidegger - Life and Philosophical Contribution of the Great German ThinkerMartin (Martin Heidegger) is a name that remains in the history of philosophy as one of the most influential and original. This 20th-century German philosopher is known for his studies of the essence of being, time and human subjectivity. In this biography, we look at key moments in his life, education, philosophical beliefs, and contributions to modern philosophy and culture.
Martin was born on 26 September 1889 in Messkirch, in the Baden-Württemberg region, Germany. His family was well educated, and from childhood developed an interest in philosophy and literature. Subsequently, his philosophical beliefs were formed under the influence of ancient philosophy, as well as the work of philosophers as Edmund Husserl and Friedrich Nietzsche.
Heidegger studied at many universities, including the universities of Freiburg and Marburg. His dissertation "Consciousness of Time in Aristotle's Philosophy" ("Die Lehre vom Urteil im Psychologismus") reflected his interest in the philosophy of antiquity and was the first step towards his own philosophical career.
Martin's most famous and influential work was his main work, "Genesis and Time" ("Sein und Zeit"), published in 1927. In this work, he presented his concept of the essence of being (Dasein) and substantiated his phenomenological method of study. "Being and Time" attracted great interest and became a key work in the development of philosophy.
In addition to Being and Time, he wrote many other important works, including The Origins of Work and Art (Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes) and The Way to Language (Der Weg zur Sprache). These works deal with topics such as art, language, death, and technology, and they have influenced many philosophers and writers.
