P. G. Woodhouse - Biography

Pelham Grenville Woodhouse was born on 15 October 1881 in Guildford, Surrey, England. He grew up in a teaching family and received a quality education that was instrumental in shaping his intellectual abilities. In his early years he developed an interest in literature and humor.

P. G. began his literary career in the early 20th century, publishing his first stories and articles in various magazines and newspapers. His sense of humour and wit quickly caught the attention of readers and he became a popular author in the UK.

However, P. G. achieved real fame thanks to the creation of unique literary characters such as Bertram Worcester and Jeeves. Bertram Worcester is a wealthy heir, constantly in comic situations, and Jeeves is his brilliant domestic servant, always ready to get his master out of trouble. The duo became emblematic of humour and English comedy.

Woodhouse has written in a variety of genres, including novels, short stories, plays and musicals. His works became bestsellers, and his comic talent was recognized around the world. He was known for his ability to create witty dialogue and situations that made readers laugh to tears.

In the 1930s, Woodhouse moved to the United States and continued his literary work there. His work also gained popularity in the United States, and he became a frequent guest on literary and television shows.
