Raymond Elias Feist was born on June 23, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, United States. As a child, his family moved to San Diego, where Raymond grew up. From an early age, he developed an interest in literature and fantasy, reading books by authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis.

After graduation, Raymond entered the University of San Diego, where he studied economics. He also served in the United States Army, where he gained experience and inspiration for his future works. After military service, he returned to his studies and earned a bachelor's degree in communications.

Raymond Feist's first book was the novel "The Magician," which was published in 1982. This novel was the beginning of his career as a writer and the first book in the Saga of the Past Tense series. This cycle of books became a fantasy genre phenomenon and won the hearts of readers around the world.

The series of books "The Riftwar Saga" is one of the most famous and popular in the work of Raymond Feist. The epic story of a battle between two worlds, Midkemia and Keilaria, has won millions of readers and remains a fantasy classic.
