Rosa Luxemburg - Biography

Luxembourg, a scholar, revolutionary and social justice activist, remains one of the most influential figures in the history of world socialism and revolution. Her life and work fit firmly into the historical narrative of the struggle for human rights and social change. In this article, we will examine her biography, active role in the development of socialist theory and contribution to the history of Germany and the world revolution.

Rosa (real name - Rosalia Luxemburg) was born on March 5, 1871 in the city of Celeb, which was part of the Russian Empire (now it is the territory of Poland). She grew up in a Jewish family and from an early age showed outstanding intellectual abilities.

Later, Rosa moved to Switzerland, where she continued her education. She studied at the University of Zurich, where she studied economics and political science. Her studies were inspired by the desire to change the social inequality and exploitation that she saw around her.

Upon returning to Poland, Rosa became an active participant in political life. She joined the Social Democratic movement and began to publicly advocate for the rights of workers and women. Her passion for fighting for justice and her ability to express complex political ideas made her an important voice in political discourse.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Rosa Luxemburg moved to Germany, where she became a key figure in the socialist movement there. Her criticism of imperialism and activism in the protection of workers' rights made her famous and respected in the world socialist movement.

However, the most famous period in her life was the Soviet Revolution of 1917 in Russia. Rose was critical of the events in Russia, condemning the cruelty and authoritarian measures taken by the Bolsheviks. She continued to advocate for social justice, but refused to use violence.
