Kipling (Joseph Rudyard Kipling) was born on 30 December 1865 in Bombay, then part of British India, and became one of Britain's most important and influential writers and poets. His life and work had a huge influence on world literature and culture.Rudyard was born into a family of British parents who worked in India. His childhood was riddled with the influence of Indian culture and local nature, which left a deep mark on his work. At age 5, he was sent to England for education and spent most of his childhood in an integrated educational institution.
After leaving school, Rudyard returned to India, where he began his career in journalism. He worked for various newspapers and magazines and quickly gained popularity as a talented and witty author. His articles and notes on life in India and the colonial administration caught the attention of readers in Britain and beyond.

His works were often inspired by his childhood in India and his experiences in the colonial Empire. His first book of poetry, "The Lost Frontier" ("Departmental Ditties"), was published in 1886.
However, the stories and poems collected in The Jungle Book, published in 1894, brought him real fame. This book has become popular with both children and adults, and is still a classic of children's literature.
Rudyard is also known for its works with colonial themes. His epic poem "The Ballad of East and West" (1889) is recognized as one of his best works and embodies his understanding of the complex relationship between East and West.
