After graduation, Thomas Friedman began his journalism career. Initially he worked for various local newspapers, but soon his talent and analytical mindset caught the attention of major publications. In 1981, he joined the editorial staff of The New York Times, one of the most influential and prestigious newspapers in the world.
With the beginning of his work at The New York Times, Thomas began traveling the world and covering world events.
