Wendell Berry - Biography
Berry was born on August 5, 1934 in Port Royal, Kentucky, USA. He grew up in a farming family, and his childhood was riddled with close contact with nature and rural life. This experience deeply influenced his future creativity and beliefs.After graduating from high school, Wendell entered the University of Kentucky, where he began to study English literature. However, his education was temporarily interrupted when he was drafted into the army and served in Germany.
After returning from the army, he continued his studies at the University of Kentucky, where he completed his education. His interest in literature and writing intensified, and he began to produce poems and essays, which would become iconic works of his work.
