Yves Saint Laurent - Biography
Saint Laurent entered the Paris Fashion Institute, where his talents were noticed. At the age of 17, he began working for Christian Dior, the famous French fashion designer. This was the beginning of his career in the world of haute couture.After the death of Christian Dior in 1957, Yves was appointed creative director of the Dior fashion house, becoming the youngest designer to head the haute couture fashion house. Under his leadership, the Trapèze collection was created, which received rave reviews.
In 1961, Yves and his partner Pierre Bergé founded their own fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent. They presented their first collection of haute couture art and were widely acclaimed. continued to improve women's wardrobe, creating innovative models and introducing men's elements into women's fashion.
Yves was at the forefront of the fashion revolution in the 1960s. He introduced iconic elements such as a "tuxedo" for women, crisp white jackets and short dresses. His collections were bold and cutting edge, reflecting the zeitgeist.
