Herbert Wells - Dr. Moreau Island
In the novel "Dr. Moreau Island," the main character, Edward Prentice, finds himself on a mysterious island, where Dr. Moreau conducts eerie experiments, turning animals into semi-human beings. The island turns out to be a place where the boundaries between man and the beast are erased under the influence of a scientific experiment that led to the creation of eerie creatures with both human intelligence and animal cruelty. Prentice faces horrors that question all moral and ethical norms, and tries to uncover Dr. Moreau's secrets by finding out what terrible goals this scientist pursues and what result his crazy work has brought.
