Existentialism
Existentialism in literature is often expressed through works in which the protagonist is confronted with the hopelessness and meaninglessness of his life. Works of this direction usually reflect internal conflicts and the search for meaning in life, and also put forward the idea of the need for independent choice and action.Existentialism works can be both dramatic and prosaic, and are often characterized by philosophical reflection and attention to the inner world of the characters. They make the reader reflect on the meaning of life, free will and the inevitability of death.
