Sentimentalism
Sentimentalism in literature is often characterized by the use of emotional language and the portrayal of life as something tender, romantic and idealized. Works of this direction often focus on the feelings of the heroes, their experiences and relationships with each other.Sentimental works can be both prosaic and poetic, and often contain elements of romance, pastoral and lyrics. They strive to arouse deep feelings in the reader and emphasize the importance of the emotional component of human life.
