Games of Power

In the morning, I decided to return home early to avoid meeting Natell, who, as usual, tried to intervene in our affairs. My girlfriend Zhenya was preparing for exams, and I did not want to prevent her from concentrating on her studies. She was very reserved about her plans for the future, refusing to share even the most basic information about her curricula.

When I came home, I found no one in the living room or in the kitchen. I heard a conversation between my mum and Natell on the balcony, and decided to overhear their conversation. Natell clearly expressed her doubts about my choice in Zhenya, hinting at her age and status. She advised my mum to be careful not to risk her future with someone she felt was not meeting expectations.

I could not contain my anger and intervened in the conversation, expressing my dissatisfaction with such comments. However, my mother chose to support Natell, which caused me disappointment and a sense of betrayal. I decided to get away from them and go to Zhenya, feeling depressed and undervalued in my own family.

I felt sorry to part with the house, but I decided to take only the essentials with me, fearing my mother might dispose of my belongings. My railway, which was my hobby, was the last thing I wanted to lose and I hoped it would remain intact.

Having come to Zhenya, I told her about what I heard on the balcony. She listened to me with understanding, but her face expressed concern. We discussed the situation and came to the conclusion that it is important to remain decisive in our decisions, despite the external pressures and doubts of others.

Returning home in the evening, I found my mother and Natell had already left. They don't seem to have noticed my absence. I breathed a sigh of relief, but at the same time I was disappointed that my family was so easily without me.

Picking myself up, I decided to sort out my feelings and actions. I was aware that my reaction to the situation with Natell and my mother was emotional and spontaneous, and I needed to find ways to better control my emotions in situations like this.

That evening I gave myself a long conversation with Zhenya about our relationship, our plans for the future and how we can support each other in difficult moments. This conversation helped me feel more confident and stable in my decisions.

Every day I realized that the real strength and support was in our relationship and the way we interacted with each other. I found in Zhenya the support and understanding that helped me overcome difficult moments in my life.

So while family intrigue and external pressures can be difficult, I found the strength and determination to go forward, building my own destiny and making decisions that fit my values and beliefs.
