Reflection of death

Marina, resting her hand on the tile wall in the bathroom, looked in the mirror. She was never a person who had an important appearance. Today, however, something has changed. A girl stood in front of her, who suddenly realized that she was not beautiful at all.

This thought struck Marina. Her entire life journey was riddled with her mother's conviction: It's bad to keep an eye on her appearance. But today, for the first time, she thought about what she looks like, and how it affects the opinions of others, especially the opinions of a particular boy.

Marina was always sure that she was right, but this moment made her doubt it. She began to carefully study her reflection in the mirror. Her features were sharp and pointed, and her figure was thin, with protruding clavicles and long, bony arms. Suddenly, she realized that her appearance did not look like her parents at all, but in some ways resembled their ancestors.

She suddenly smiled, remembering Lesha, a guy from her entourage who did not cease to show interest in her, despite her appearance. It gave her confidence that maybe the look wasn't as important as she thought.

But doubts still remained. Marina thought about her place in the world and how to accept herself as she is.

Suddenly, Marina recalled how her mother always insisted that success in life depends not on appearance, but on mind and education. It reminded her of her older brother, who was smart and successful despite his looks not getting attention.

But at that moment, her thoughts were interrupted by a doorbell. Marina wiped her face and quickly left the bathroom. This was her brother, who became interested in why she began to devote less time to lessons and more often disappears to herself. He wanted to find out what was happening to her and help if possible.

Marina looked at him gratefully and smiled. His care and attention was like a ray of light in a dark corridor for her. She felt a little easier knowing she had the support of a loved one.

Gradually, she realized that the most important thing is not the appearance, but who she is inside. Her mind, her character, her kindness - that's what really matters. And if she can accept and love herself for who she is, then others will do the same.

Marina promised herself that she would no longer judge herself by her reflection in the mirror, but by her actions, her achievements and her qualities. And, with a smile on her face, she set out to host the new day with an open heart and self-confidence.

Despite this, some points still brought Marina doubts and uncertainty. But now she knew it was important to be true to yourself and follow her beliefs, despite the opinions of those around her.

Once, when they were walking with Lesha in the city park, he took her hand and looked into her eyes with a sincere smile. "You're beautiful, Marina," he said. These words have become a real confirmation for her that the most important thing is to be loved and accepted as you are.

Every day Marina became more aware of her value and uniqueness. She found the strength to overcome doubts and fight for her dreams. Her reflection in the mirror has long ceased to define her self-esteem and self-esteem.
