The film begins with an alien ship arriving and stopping over Johannesburg, South Africa. When humans open the ship, they discover a group of aliens named as workers who have penetrated Earth. Aliens settled in District 9 were forced to live in poverty and poverty.

The main character of the film, Wikus van de Merwe, works for the international company Multi-National United (MNU), which controls and pursues aliens. During the task, Vixus accidentally comes into contact with a toxic substance that begins to change his genetics.
