Heart of a Dog (1988)

The film takes place in Moscow at the beginning of the 20th century, where a young and poor dog breeder named Sharikov becomes the object of an experiment with the brilliant surgeon Preobrazhensky. As a result of an operation to transplant the pituitary gland of a person into the body of a dog, Sharikov turns into a person with a human mind and abilities.

Now it is called Polygraph Polygraphovich Sharikov and falls under the care of Preobrazhensky. But its transformation causes not only delight, but also discontent and fear among others, and Polygraph himself faces difficulties adapting to new life and human customs.
