When the kingdom of the sea sorcerer Ursula provides Ariel with a chance to gain legs and become a person for three days in exchange for her voice, she does not hesitate to agree. But the terms of the deal turn out to be much more difficult than initially seemed, and Ariel is drawn into a fight between good and evil, where not only her own happiness is at stake, but also the fate of the entire sea kingdom.

In the process of her journey, Ariel finds loyal friends, including Flounder's fish and Sebastian's crab, who help her overcome difficulties and find true love.
