Rumpelstiltskin offers Shrek a deal: he provides Shrek with the opportunity to return to the days when he was a terrible ogre if Shrek gives him one day in his life. Shrek agrees, but realizes that he made a mistake when he returns to the world where Far Far Away is now an abandoned city, and he himself is no longer a terrible ogre. Now Shrek has to correct his mistake and return the world to normal. He must track down Fiona, his true love, and convince her that he is her real husband. Shrek teams up with his friends - Donkey, Cat in Boots and Donald - in a fight against Rumpelstiltskin and his army of witches to reclaim Far Far Away and save his friends.
