Terminal (2004)

At the center of the plot is Victor Navorski, an ordinary citizen from eastern Europe, whose country underwent a political coup, which deprived him of citizenship and the opportunity to leave JFK airport in New York. As a result of this, he is forced to live in the transit zone of the airport, turning it into his temporary home.

Victor, unaware of English and undocumented, is forced to adapt to life at the airport using his mind, patience and human relationships. He meets various people working and traveling through the airport and finds friends and allies in them.

Among them are Emelia, a cafe worker, and Frank Dixon, a security guard who becomes his protector and friend. Together, they help Victor overcome challenges and find hope for a better future, even as he faces bureaucratic hurdles and threats of deportation.

During his stay in the terminal, Victor develops a unique relationship with employees and passengers, contributing to their lives and receiving support and friendship from them. He is also committed to fulfilling his personal mission of completing his father's newly begun work.

Despite all the difficulties he faces, Victor remains incredibly optimistic and believes that one day he can leave the terminal and start a new life outside its walls.
