John Ruskin - Biography
Ruskin entered the University of Oxford, where he studied geology and theology. However, his true passion was art, and he began to travel around Europe studying painting and architecture. His meetings with the works of Italian Renaissance masters had a huge influence on his artistic perception.John Ruskin was one of the first and most important supporters of the Prefafelites, a group of artists who sought a new view of art, returning to nature and simple human feelings. He supported their ideas of painting accentuating individuality and sensuality.
